Mönchhof (Monk’s House) is one of the oldest wine estates in the Mosel. It was formerly in the possession of the Kloster Himmerod, a Cisterian Abbey, and records exist dating it to 1177. Today the estate is run by the affable Robert Eymael Jr. and the holdings include superb sites in Ürziger Würzgarten, Erdener Treppchen, and Erdener Prälat. The 2010 vintage in the Mosel offers pure and truly refreshing wines that have firm acidity. They are simply delicious to drink in the spring.

Ordering Wine
We primarily stock wines that we have personally tasted and recommend – our focus is on the wine in the bottle, not the label on the bottle. While we have favorites that always seem to be on our shelves, our love is the next great new discovery.
We stock over a thousand different wines in each shop and our goal is to help you find excellent wines that fit the flavor profile you seek in the price range that you desire. Please ask for a wine that you’ve enjoyed in a local restaurant, New York, London or Paris. If this wine is available in Seattle, we will usually be able to have it for you within a week.
To inquire about a wine you may call us, email us at either the Ravenna shop or the Queen Anne shop. We’ll be in touch about the availability of the wines within a day or two.
