2014 Domaine de Rimauresq Cru Classe Rose

Rimauresq takes its name from the river that flows through the vineyards — Real Mauresque. The domaine is located at the foot of the Massif des Maures mountain range near Toulon in Côtes de Provence. The unique microclimate benefits from the cooling mistral winds and the shade from the mountains. This allows for a long, slow ripening period prior to harvest. Winemaker Pierre Duffortine grows nine grape varieties at Rimauresq, including Cinsault, Mourvedre, and Tibouren for the rosés. The wines have a cult status in Southern France and are usually reserved for Michelin-starred restaurants. We recently received a small parcel of these delicious wines.
