2014 M&S Pinot Noir and 2013 DeLille D2

We’re totally thrilled with our newest Private Label wine crafted by Broadley Vineyards from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. It combines the intensity of a typical Broadley Pinot with the elegance of the 2014 vintage. The result is near perfect balance — think well made Chambolle-Musigny with an Oregonian complexity.

The 2014 McCarthy & Schiering Pinot Noir has a transparent, beautiful, vivid ruby-red hue. An aroma of rose petals, red raspberry, and spicy elements of cinnamon and nutmeg emerge with a hint of toast, cedar, and chalky mineral notes. On the palate, flavors of cherry and raspberry combine with subtle cola and spice notes. The impressive lush balance of tannin and acid with mid-palate intensity lead to a silky finish.

The final blend was a combination of:
4 barrels North Block Broadley Estate pommard/115 — neutral oak
3 barrels Zenith Eola Hills pommard/wadensvil — 1 year old french oak
2 barrels South Block Broadley Estate 777 — 1 year old french oak
5 barrels Shea 777 — 20% new oak
4 barrels Palmer Creek Eola Hills 115 — neutral oak
The grapes were 100% de-stemmed, and the finished wine is 100% irresistible!

Purchase this by the case to drink over the next few years.
Perfect for parties, Thanksgiving turkey, salmon, lamb, and just plain flat out quaffing!

2013 DELILLE D2 RED WINE – 45.00 / 38.25 VS

“DeLille’s 2013 D2 Proprietary Red Wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It has lots of spice, dried flower and savory herb qualities mixed with sweet cassis and kirsch-like fruit. Medium to full-bodied, balanced, supple and slightly forward, drink it on release and over the following decade.” – Jeb Dunnuck, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
