Mönchhof (Monk’s House) is one of the oldest wine estates in the Mosel. It was formerly in the possession of the Kloster Himmerod, a Cisterian Abbey, and records exist dating it to 1177. Today the estate is run by the affable Robert Eymael Jr. and the holdings include superb sites in Ürziger Würzgarten, Erdener Treppchen, and Erdener Prälat. The 2010 vintage in the Mosel offers pure and truly refreshing wines that have firm acidity. They are simply delicious to drink in the spring.

Free Tastings & Events
It is our belief that the best way to learn about wine is to regularly sample wines from around the world. Every Saturday from 11AM to 5PM, we offer free tastings at both the Ravenna and Queen Anne shops. Often we invite winemakers to come and discuss their wines.
As you start to choose for yourself the style of wine that you prefer, not simply those that are recommended by highly influential wine publications, we begin to act as your wine merchant, recommending similar wines that are of interest to you as an individual.
