Come to the shops to meet Celia Vizcarra, who is the third generation winemaker-in-training in her family’s business.
The Vizcarra family has grown grapes in the Ribera del Durero for more than four generations. The region, about two hours north of Madrid, is one of Spain’s top red-wine producers; the vast majority of wines are 100 percent Tempranillo.
Celia’s father, Juan Carlos Vizcarra was the first in the family to make Bodegas Vizcarra estate-bottled wine, starting in 1991.
Celia will be at the Ravenna store from 11 a.m – 2 p.m. and at the Queen Anne store from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.
